A short sale is when a lender agrees to take less money for a property than what is owed on the mortgage. The lender will make more money off of the short sale, than they would letting it go to foreclosure. This benefits the home owner by letting them get out from under a mortgage they can't afford, without ruining their credit like a foreclosure. With a short sale, their credit is only affected for about 2 years. A foreclosure, affects one's credit for 7 years. Jim is a certified short sale realtor.

My S.R.E.S..(Seniors Real Estate Specialist), designation means that I have received advanced training to work with Senior Citizens on their real estate needs, such as reverse mortgages, assisted living, long term care facilities, nursing homes, vacation homes, etc. Because of this training, I'm uniquely qualified to communicate with the senior generation.
